World’s Highest installed Avonic Cameras

Our Avonic partner in Malaysia has delivered a fully integrated boardroom solution utilizing CM60-IP PTZ Cameras, located on the top level of one of the tallest towers in the world in Kuala Lumpur.

The 25-seat boardroom was designed to effectively communicate between the various branches and affiliate companies. A flexible design was key for this multipurpose boardroom where the company’s leadership can host presentations, videoconferences and broadcasts.

The world-famous observation deck on the top floor is a very popular tourist attraction. It has also been featured in Hollywood blockbuster movies such as ‘Entrapment’ with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sean Connery.

Avonic’s CM60-IP PTZ camera were selected because of the high-quality optics. Also for their ability to deal deliver crisp images under challenging light conditions and their flexible and concurrent outputs.  Overall system control was vital for this project and the CM60-IP was able to be easily integrated within the IP based control environment. The CM series design allowed it to blend into stylish design of the room.

The boardroom is equipped with 6 fully remote-controlled Avonic CM60-IP PTZ cameras and MT200 wall mounts in a fully integrated setup, combining Crestron control and matrix switching, Samsung 65 inch panel displays, Polycom videoconference codecs and an impressive 9×4 curved LED video wall. All individual equipment is centrally controlled via an intuitive touch panel.

Avonic partners consulted for this project and designed the full system for this project. They were also responsible for project delivery.

This project confirms the versatility of Avonic cameras – boardrooms are very high demanding applications both from a technical and user experience perspective. Avonic products held clear benefits in this type of multidisciplinary application where multiple functions are combined in a single system.

“It’s great to be part of this project as it proofs that our solution rise and above and beyond, sometimes even literally. Multidisciplinary meeting rooms and boardroom are on the rise, especially the video-conference functionality is gaining adaptation. We also see more and more boardrooms being used for all-hands meeting recording and streaming. Therefore, the cameras used need to be flexible and offer various connections, making designing and maintaining a system easier than ever”
